"Yandex" Arrived at Changan: Chinese Cars Get a Russian Ecosystem

Integration will expand the capabilities of the on-board digital platform

"Yandex" and the Chinese auto giant Changan have agreed on international integration: the "Yandex Auto" multimedia platform will appear in new models of the brand in several countries at once - from Russia to Central Asia and the Caucasus. This is not a one-off experiment, but a large-scale implementation that will gradually cover more and more cars in the lineup.

The first on the list is the Changan UNI-S crossover, introduced in early April. Inside are the usual "Yandex" services: music, audiobooks, podcasts, and a unified interface for managing content directly from the car's screen. Without unnecessary actions and distractions on your smartphone - switching tracks and searching occur directly in the multimedia system.

The key emphasis is on synchronization via "Yandex ID". This means that the user can start listening to a track or book at home, and then continue from the same place on the road. Content adapts to preferences: recommendations, collections, and playlists are generated automatically - by genre, mood, and habits.

"Yandex" emphasizes that the goal is to make services available at any point in the user's scenario: from home to car. Management remains unified, and the transition between devices is seamless.

For Changan, the partnership is part of a strategy to develop the digital ecosystem of cars. The company already sells more than 2 million cars a year in 70+ countries, and in Russia it is among the top 5 Chinese brands in terms of sales. Integration with "Yandex" should strengthen its position through localization and convenience for drivers.

In the future, the functionality of "Yandex Auto" promises to be expanded - adding new services and usage scenarios.
