The new «Yandex Auto» multimedia platform with the «Alice» voice assistant will be presented at the International Automobile Exhibition in Shanghai from April 25 to May 2. The system is integrated into cars during the production phase and allows you to control both multimedia functions and the car's systems.
While driving, the voice assistant will help control windows, seat ventilation, and other functions without distracting from the road. The platform is equipped with all the necessary Yandex services — «Navigator», «Music», «Video», «Books», and «Browser». Voice control of the car's internal systems works even without an internet connection.
The system also integrates with a smart home, allowing you to control household appliances remotely. For example, the phrase «Alice, I'll be home soon» activates pre-prepared scenarios — heats the kettle, turns on the air conditioner, or starts the vacuum cleaner. Cooling the car's interior or starting the car heating thanks to Alice is also possible without leaving home.
The integration of «Yandex Auto» into a car happens in two ways:
- Integration into the existing system of the car manufacturer.
- Installation of a separate platform with the Yandex interface, including all the necessary functions for controlling the multimedia system and car parameters.
Car manufacturers have already started equipping their models with the «Yandex Auto» system. When choosing a new car, it is recommended to check the availability of this platform with the dealer.
