A car of the revived brand Volga was spotted in Nizhny Novgorod. The car had license plates.
The black car was spotted on Minin and Pozharsky Square last weekend. The rear of the car shows large letters Volga, as well as the model designation — K50.
In February 2026, it became known that the Gorky Automobile Plant will begin mass production of Volga cars this year. At the end of March, the brand's press service announced the completion of the preparation of the plant's equipment for mass production of cars. The first model was the K50 crossover, which experts call the trump card of the revived brand.
At the same time, the media reported that one serial copy had already been registered in Russia by the end of March. The owner of the Volga K50 is not a legal entity, but an individual.
The model is equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine with a capacity of 238 hp, an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The length of the car is 4770 mm, the width is 1895 mm, and the wheelbase is 2845 mm.
Following the flagship crossover, Volga introduced another model — the C50 business-class sedan. Sales of cars are scheduled to begin in the summer.
