According to him, HAL received from Russia an assessment of the corporation's partnership status and an opinion on its capabilities.

The Russian side believes that approximately 50% of our capacities can be used for this, but some new investments will be required. We are awaiting Russian proposals regarding investments.

Sunil added that after receiving proposals from the Russian Federation on monetary investments, HAL will provide the Indian Air Force with information on the required volumes of Su-57 production at its enterprises and the timing of their delivery into service.

Aviation expert Roman Gusarov explained to "The First Technical" why localizing Su-57 production in India will be beneficial for Russia.

However, Indian media noted that the republic's authorities are in no hurry to sign a contract for the localization of the production of these combat aircraft and are awaiting a detailed report on the cost of such a project from the Russian side .
