The new hybrid of AvtoVAZ based on Lada Azimut will accelerate to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds

The pilot sample will be provided in the third quarter of 2026

AvtoVAZ has begun developing a new plug-in hybrid based on the new Lada Azimut crossover. The pilot sample will be presented in the third quarter of 2026, said the company's president, Maxim Sokolov.

According to the company's presentation, the hybrid version will have all-wheel drive. The engine power will be 290 kW, acceleration to 100 km/h will be no more than 5.7 seconds, and the range without refueling will be 1100 km.

Lada Azimut will become the first serial crossover of AvtoVAZ. Almost 1000 new and improved components have been developed for it, including body panels, lighting system, interior details and a new rear suspension. The dimensions of the crossover are 4416 × 1838 × 1607 mm, and the wheelbase is 2675 mm.

Official prices for Azimut are still unknown, but, preliminarily, the car in the basic configuration will cost from 2 million rubles.
