At a press conference dedicated to the results of activities for 2025, AvtoVAZ showcased a pre-production version of the new Lada Azimut crossover. According to company representatives, 16 such vehicles were assembled last fall for mandatory certification testing. The procedure will be completed in the spring of 2026, after which mass production of the model will begin.
Lada Azimut will be AvtoVAZ's first crossover in the B+ segment. It is built on a modified Lada Vesta platform and has the following dimensions: length - 4416 mm, width - 1838 mm, height - 1607 mm, wheelbase - 2675 mm, and ground clearance - 208 mm.
The level of component localization reaches 90% and higher, which emphasizes the company's commitment to import substitution. During development, engineers implemented 996 new technical solutions.
The developers paid special attention to equipment: Azimut will receive a number of options not previously typical for Lada models. These include a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging for smartphones, heated side windows, and a driving mode selection system.
