Chinese Auditors Helped "EM Rus" Choose a Production Site

The "Moskvich" plant in the capital was chosen for the production of UMO electric vehicles due to its advanced equipment and team of professionals. This was stated by Ilya Rashkin, General Director of "EM Rus".

According to him, the Moscow leadership managed to preserve the team after the change of ownership of the enterprise.

Rashkin explained that the decision to choose the site was made taking into account the opinion of professional auditors. Specialists from "Yandex", as well as Chinese experts, were involved in the assessment. According to the results of an independent audit, "Moskvich" won by a wide margin from other enterprises.

Until 2022, the capital's plant produced Renault crossovers. Duster, Arkana and Kaptur models were assembled here. After the departure of the foreign brand from the Russian market, the authorities decided to revive the production of cars under the "Moskvich" brand at this site.

In February 2026, the plant launched the production of the UMO 5 electric crossover. It will be used in taxis.
