The High-Precision Systems holding, which is part of the Rostec State Corporation, has demonstrated for the first time in Russia equipment that can independently lay asphalt. The accuracy of the machines is up to 2 centimeters. The presentation took place at the International Transport and Logistics Forum in St. Petersburg.
Guests of the event were shown two samples. The first is the RV-11DD-BP automated road roller, which is produced by the Raskat plant. The second is the Desna 2100 asphalt paver from the Group of Companies for Mechanical Engineering and Instrument Engineering. Both machines are controlled by a special hardware and software complex "Prometheus". The "Filin" system is responsible for accurate positioning and leveling.
The Filin and Prometheus systems were developed by JSC VNII Signal. The Prometheus complex takes over the control of ground transport, and Filin determines coordinates, lays routes and calculates angles of rotation. The new equipment is capable of working almost without interruption, including at night. This reduces construction and repair times. The operator can control the roller remotely or set a program for complete autonomy.
