Telegram Warned About "Last Chance" to Buy Premium in Russia

The messenger offered to pay for two years in advance amid restrictions

Telegram users in Russia received a notification about the possible unavailability of a paid subscription in the future. The service announced the "last chance" to subscribe to Premium and offered to pay for it for two years in advance.

On March 31, users began receiving system messages: "In the near future, it may become technically impossible to subscribe to Premium in your region."

Against this background, the messenger has stepped up the promotion of a long-term subscription with a 57% discount — for 2,990 rubles.

Since the beginning of 2025, users have been complaining about service disruptions. In February, Roskomnadzor confirmed the slowdown of Telegram.

The chairman of the HRC commission on international cooperation in the field of human rights, Alexander Ionov, explained that Telegram will restore full operation in Russia if it fulfills the necessary conditions.
