A resident of the advanced development territory "Snezhinsk" - the company "Modern Energy Technologies" - has obtained a patent for a vortex power generator. The device converts the kinetic energy of the atmosphere into electricity without burning fuel or producing waste.
The principle of operation of the installation is based on the formation of an ascending vortex inside a hollow tower. The air flow swirls, rushes upward, and spins turbines connected to generators. The design does not require a constant supply of external energy: a natural difference in temperature and pressure is used to start and maintain the process. The developers claim that this scheme reduces the cost of a kilowatt and minimizes operating costs.
Previously, engineers had already shared details of the project, but it was the patent that secured the authorship for the team and opened the way for practical implementation. The document confirms the novelty of the technical solutions and protects the company's intellectual property.
Currently, "Modern Energy Technologies" is working on options for a pilot implementation of the installation. If the tests confirm the calculated indicators, vortex generators may find application in remote areas where laying power lines is economically impractical. The technology is also being considered as an element of distributed energy for industrial facilities with a low carbon footprint.
