The Moscow company "Motokhrom" successfully tested the MHKB.64N8 KV250 electric motor with a Russian 1510x3 propeller manufactured by "UralOmegaPlast". The tests were carried out in two modes: "pushing" (flow from the motor) and "pulling" (flow to the motor). Controller — MAD120A.
The difference in power consumption and winding temperature between the modes is explained by two factors, the company explained. Firstly, in the pushing mode, the winding is better ventilated. Secondly, when operating in the pulling mode, the flow is partially blocked by the stand, which impairs cooling. The winding temperature was estimated at the hottest point in the slot using a thermal imager.
Motors of the MHKB.64 "Inter2" series in the N8 modification (8 mm thick magnetic core) are designed for fan equipment and high-speed drones. Rotation frequency — up to 12,000 rpm (peak — 15,000), torque — up to 1.8 N·m (peak — 2.6 N·m). The design is patented. It is planned to produce in two versions: "R" (fully manufactured in Russia) and "L" (production under license at other enterprises).
The engineers plan to release modifications N12 and N16 (with a magnetic core thickness of 12 and 16 mm) for operation with copter propellers up to 32 inches.
