Mi-28NM combat attack helicopters have been equipped with radar stations, thanks to which the crew can, as it were, look out from behind the folds of the terrain, but remain under cover themselves. This was told by a navigator-operator with the call sign Igor.
According to him, the radar was sorely lacking in its predecessor, the Mi-28N.
Of course, we felt the superiority of the new autopilot, which was modernized. Now it can be said to be perfected.
The main means of destruction of the helicopter remained the multipurpose guided missiles "Product 305" with a range of up to 25 km. They have been fully adapted to the conditions of modern combat.
"Product 305" is capable of reaching speeds of up to 230 m/s, the missile is equipped with an optical thermal homing head and a high-explosive fragmentation warhead weighing 25 kg.
Earlier, former military pilot Fighterbomber pointed to the lack of electromagnetic compatibility of electronic warfare with the onboard systems of helicopters. In the worst-case scenario, the station will simply damage the rotary-wing machine itself.
