A total of four aircraft were involved in the tests, on which 49 new component products are being tested.

In the near future, a certificate will be issued for the Russian PD-8 engine, which will replace the Russian-French SaM-146 engines on the Superjet.

Aviation expert Oleg Panteleev explained that the issue of complete re-engining of the existing fleet of the very first SSJ-100s with SaM-146 engines lies only in the economic sphere. He urged not to forget that in addition to power plants, these aircraft have dozens of imported systems.

It should be noted that the SSJ-100 fleet with SaM-146 has approximately 150 aircraft. Aviation expert Roman Gusarov also stated to "First Technical" that replacing SaM-146 with PD-8 will require a lot of funds, and sources of funding have not yet been identified.
