The Russian application store RuStore operates on 600 thousand multimedia systems of cars sold in Russia. This was reported by the platform team. Over the past six months, the number of cars with RuStore installed has doubled. The total number of RuStore installations exceeded 150 million, with a monthly audience in Russia of 68 million users. The store was developed by VK for Android, HarmonyOS, and OS "Aurora" and is included in the register of Russian software. The platform's catalog includes more than 100 thousand applications and games from developers from 70 countries.
The platform is adapted for multimedia devices based on Android AOSP and Android OC — the interface is designed for use by the driver and passengers. Owners can install and update applications directly in the car through the familiar tablet interface.
RuStore appears both on new cars — pre-installed after purchase — and on already sold cars, where owners install the store themselves.
Today, RuStore is installed in approximately every fifth car with Android multimedia. Moreover, it is installed on both new cars and those already sold

Since March 2022, Google has suspended the operation of the Google Pay RBC payment system for Russian users — since then, it has still been possible to download free applications through Google Play, but it is impossible to buy paid ones, pay for subscriptions, and make in-game purchases with Russian cards.
According to an RBC source in one of the telecom operators, about 80 million Russians use Google Play resources daily RBC — mainly for free content.
