A pair of new fifth-generation Su-57 fighters were spotted flying in the sky over Algeria. Apparently, a unique video was filmed by a shepherd.
The demonstration flights featured the whistling sound characteristic of the Su-57. The Russian design is also easy to recognize by the shape of the wing, and the white and green logo of the Algerian Air Force (AAF) can be seen on the vertical tail, or keels.
Previously, footage of a Su-57 flying, presumably over Algeria, but alone, also went viral on the Web. Officially, the supply of Su-57 to this African republic has not yet been reported.
In November 2025, the head of the United Aircraft Corporation, Vadim Badeha, stated that two multi-purpose Su-57E fighters had already entered the disposal of a foreign customer. According to the Telegram channel "Russian weapons", at that time it was about the Air Force of Algeria.
