A video has appeared online showing a pilot engaging the afterburner mode of a Su-57 fighter jet in a demonstration flight. The footage shows the combat aircraft rapidly accelerating directly over the heads of the spectators.
Before the sharp acceleration, the flight commentator warned the audience about the upcoming maneuver.
After that, the plane with a predatory whistle swept over the public and made a turn, preparing to demonstrate the next trick.
The head of the United Aircraft Corporation, Vadim Badeha, noted that the first two Su-57s have already been transferred to a foreign customer, who was satisfied with the characteristics of the combat aircraft.
The basic AL-41F1 engines for the Su-57 have a maximum thrust of 8800 kg, which is 16% less than the American Pratt & Whitney F119-PW-100 with a thrust of 10500 kgf, and an afterburner thrust of up to 15000 kgf, which is 6% less than the Pratt & Whitney F119-PW-100 with an afterburner thrust of 15865 kgf.
