The authorities of the Omsk region are interested in the development of the Scientific and Production Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (SPC UAS), which was established in 2025. This became known at a meeting between the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov, and the governor of the region, Vitaly Khotsenko.
The residents of our UAS Center are currently six organizations specializing in the production of UAVs for various purposes, including agricultural drones and automated tankettes (unmanned combat vehicle designed for reconnaissance, fire support, mine clearance, and evacuation – note from www1.ru).
According to Khotsenko, the SPC UAS is attracting new residents. In addition, the authorities of the Omsk region are preparing an application to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation for a subsidy to re-equip the center.
About the SPC UAS in Omsk
The center appeared in April 2025. Its territory includes infrastructure for the development and testing of unmanned technologies, production and administrative premises. The total area is 2500 sq. m.
According to the plan, by 2030, the SPC UAS in Omsk will employ about 50 specialists to ensure a full cycle of development and production of drones for various purposes.
