The Twentieth Arbitration Court of Appeal left without movement the complaint of the A. G. Shipunov Design Bureau against the ruling of the lower instance in a dispute with the "Imperatorsky Tulskiy Oruzheyny Zavod" for 425 million rubles. The enterprise submitted the documents in violation of the requirements.
Now the design bureau must resubmit the documents by April 2 in order to preserve its chances of winning the high-profile case.
There are no details on the substance of the proceedings; their consideration, like virtually all similar cases, was held behind closed doors. One can only assume that the matter concerned a breach of contractual obligations under contracts concluded between the enterprises or the recovery of a penalty.
The Shipunov Design Bureau is a frequent participant in high-profile legal disputes. In the autumn of 2025, the Russian Ministry of Defence announced the recovery of 1.47 billion rubles from the designers; taking court costs into account, the amount may even increase. The company manufactures the high-precision Pantsir-S and Pantsir-M anti-aircraft missile and gun systems.
