Prosveshcheniye Publishing House, in collaboration with the Kruzhkovoye Dvizheniye of the National Technology Initiative, has released the first textbook on unmanned aerial vehicles for high school students, TASS reports. The publication has passed state examination and is included in the federal list of the Ministry of Education.

The list includes two textbooks: "Unmanned Aerial Vehicles" for grades 8-9 and "Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. From Device to Career Choice" for grades 10-11 in specialized classes. The latter covers the full cycle of drone creation — design, programming, and testing — as well as the history of the industry and modern applications of the technology.

Dmitry Zemtsov, Vice-Rector of the Higher School of Economics and Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the National Technology Olympiad, noted that drones have transformed from a tool for filming into technology for monitoring, agricultural work, delivery, and rescue operations, and their widespread adoption requires the training of pilots, programmers, and engineers.
