Atomintelmash, a Russian developer of industrial robotic solutions within the structure of Rosatom State Corporation, has completed the delivery of an automated pipe processing complex to Mashinostroitelny Zavod (JSC MSZ, part of the management perimeter of the corporation's Fuel Division).
The new equipment is intended to optimize production processes and increase the enterprise's technological autonomy.
The complex provides a full cycle of mechanical processing of tubular products: from precise cutting of blanks to facing and application of markings. The system's technological flexibility makes it possible to work with pipes of various sizes, from small to large products, without the need for lengthy readjustment. Each operation is controlled by local control systems using positioning sensors, which ensures continuous monitoring of the position of blanks and actuating mechanisms at all stages of the technological process.
According to specialists' estimates, the implementation of the complex will make it possible to reduce labor costs for mechanical processing operations by 30–40%, while simultaneously increasing execution accuracy and reducing the amount of defects by minimizing the human factor.
