JSC "Managing Company of the Cosmos Ecosystem" failed to find a contractor for the construction of the first Russian solid-state microwave electronics factory "Karat". This information appeared on the official public procurement website.
The initial contract price was 2.37 billion rubles. The deadline for accepting applications was February 17.
According to the procurement protocol, all applications received were rejected. The only applicant, Industrial Construction LLC, did not pass the selection due to non-compliance with the requirements. The Karat factory project was presented by Governor Denis Pasler to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at the INNOPROM exhibition.
The new factory was to become the country's first serial production of ultra-high-frequency electronics. The enterprise with an area of 17 thousand square meters was planned for the production of microcircuits for defense and civil electronics, with an estimated capacity of up to 2 thousand plates per year. In particular, it was planned to launch the production of plates with microwave crystals for microchips according to the individual design of customers.
The facility was planned to be completed by October 2027.
