The industrial gas turbine engine AL-41ST-25 has passed the mandatory assessment and received an EAC declaration confirming compliance with the requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union. The document opens up the possibility of using the unit at fuel and energy complex facilities in the member states of the union, the United Engine Corporation (ODK) reported.
The development is being carried out by the United Engine Corporation through ODK-UMPO and the A.M. Lyulka Design Bureau. The declaration confirms compliance with the machinery and equipment safety regulations at all stages of the life cycle — from production to operation.
ODK produced two prototypes. Tests of the second engine made it possible to implement seven technical solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
An efficiency of 39.3% was achieved on the test bench — one of the best figures in the 25 MW power class. The designers focused on increasing power, optimizing the air and oil systems, and ensuring stable operation at high temperatures.
The modular design simplifies transportation and maintenance. The assigned service life of the engine is 120,000 hours with the possibility of increasing it to 150,000.
Recall that the AL-41ST-25 was developed on the basis of aviation technologies from the AL-41F1 (\"Item 117\") engine family, which are installed on Su-57 fighter jets.
