Space is uneasy again: three powerful flares occurred on the Sun on February 11

Flares M1.2, M1.1 and M1.4 were recorded from 03:09 to 03:57 Moscow time

Three flares of the penultimate power class were recorded on the Sun on February 11. This was reported by the press service of the Institute of Applied Geophysics of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "IPG".

At 03:09 Moscow time, an M1.2 flare with a duration of 24 minutes was recorded in the X-ray range in group of spots 4366 (N16W84).

The next M1.1 flare began at 03:44 Moscow time in group of spots 4366 (N19W87). The series was completed by an M1.4 level explosion, which began at 03:57 Moscow time in group of spots 4366 (N17W87) and lasted 9 minutes.

The Laboratory of Solar Astronomy IKI and ISZF noted that the geomagnetic situation is now almost completely stable. On the night of February 11, there were slight disturbances, but later the Earth's magnetic field returned to a calm state.
