The United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) will create a list of inefficient shipyards and submit it to the President of the Russian Federation and the government. This was announced by Andrey Kostin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of USC.

He admitted that the state of the industry needs major restructuring. There are shipyards that have no orders. But this topic requires a very careful approach in order to create a certain occupation and application for enterprises.

Take, for example, the Sevastopol plant, founded back in 1783. There are no orders for it, it is engaged in minor ship repairs, there are already 200 employees left there. The vast majority of employees have been laid off, there are no orders, there is basically nothing for the plant to do, and orders are unlikely to come.

As other inefficient shipyards, Kostin cited enterprises built in the Far East in the 1930s.
