Chelyabinsk NPO "Radiotechnical Systems" (RTS) has increased the production of hardware systems for managing aircraft take-off and landing. This equipment is used in Russian and foreign airports.
At the end of 2025, the company joined the federal project "Labor Productivity" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy". In the first months of operation, the plant reduced the manufacturing cycle of products by 20%.
How exactly did the plant accelerate production for aviation?
The company implemented the 5S system, rebuilt production lines, and launched a program to support rationalization initiatives. As a result, inventories of work in progress decreased by 10%, and the movement of products accelerated by 35%.
Navigation systems for air transport are produced by only a few companies worldwide. This is very knowledge-intensive and complex equipment, the production of which must be carried out in accordance with the most modern production practices, ensuring high competitiveness of the created products.
Trained employees began to spread lean technologies to other departments, including the design department and the production of specialized cabinets for electronics.
The company's management expects that the changes will increase the competitiveness of products and strengthen the position of NPO "RTS" in the international markets of aviation equipment.
