The new Gefest training complex (UTC) has been commissioned in Vladivostok at the basing point of ships of the Primorsky Flotilla of heterogeneous forces of the Pacific Fleet. This was reported in the press service of the Pacific Fleet.
The crew of the diesel-electric submarine "Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky" of project 636.3 "Varshavyanka" practiced actions in case of ingress of outside water due to damage to the hull and fires of various classes in the submarine's compartments. The situation was as close to reality as possible.
The modular UTC "Gefest" is made of 12 40-foot containers and allows simultaneous training of several training groups in the fight for the survivability of a submarine.
The complex simulates many emergency situations that submarine crews may encounter.
UTC "Gefest" is equipped with water and carbon dioxide fire extinguishing systems, a hole simulator and other necessary systems. The modules include a diesel compartment, a galley, a cabin, a torpedo compartment, and a smoke maze. The training was monitored from the post of the head of the training through a monitor that transmits images from video cameras.
