The multipurpose frigate of the 1st rank "Admiral of the Fleet Kasatonov" (Project 22350) repelled an attack by naval drones (unmanned boats) and aircraft of a mock enemy during exercises in the Barents Sea. This was reported by the press service of the Northern Fleet.
The maneuvers took place at a naval training ground. Combat training exercises were conducted as part of course task K-2 (practicing actions by a single ship), the press service added.
The sailors fired from the Palash anti-aircraft artillery system at a surface target. They also eliminated a small-sized aerial target heading towards the frigate.
The crew fired from the A-192M artillery mount at targets on the shore, which were located 12 km from the "Admiral of the Fleet Kasatonov".

The "Admiral of the Fleet Kasatonov" was built at the Northern Shipyard in the summer of 2020. The home port of the warship is Severomorsk. The frigate is armed with Onyx and Zircon missiles.
