Four carriers of sea-based Kalibr cruise missiles — the frigate "Admiral of the Fleet Kasatonov" (Project 22350), small missile ships (MRK) "Naro-Fominsk", "Serpukhov" and "Zeleny Dol" (Project 21631 "Buyan-M") are participating in exercises in the Baltic Sea. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Up to 20 ships, boats and support vessels of the Baltic and Northern Fleets are participating in the maneuvers in the Baltic Sea, with the support of about 25 aircraft and helicopters of the Russian Aerospace Forces, up to 70 units of military and special equipment of the Moscow and Leningrad military districts.
During practical actions, special attention is paid to working out joint actions of the Navy and the Aerospace Forces to ensure the safety of navigation.
The military personnel conducted anti-terrorism training with the inspection of civilian vessels and inspection of the underwater area in the areas of navigation.
On the eve of the exercises, the BRK "Bal" and "Bastion" performed electronic launches of Onyx and Uran missiles at a detachment of ships of a mock enemy.
