At the ongoing NAIS 2026 International Civil Aviation Infrastructure Exhibition in Moscow, the United Engine Corporation (UEC), part of the Rostec state corporation, demonstrated to the general public for the first time an innovative development in the small aviation segment. It is the M105/M105V model piston aircraft engine, which develops 115 horsepower.
The engine is specifically adapted for installation on light aircraft, helicopters, and gyrocopters, making it a universal solution for regional and recreational aviation.
The piston engine has competitive technical characteristics: power output of 115 horsepower, displacement of 1211 cm3 with a piston stroke of 61 mm. Among the advantages of the M105 are its operational characteristics. Total assigned service life is 2,000 hours, time between overhauls is 750 hours, and service life is 10 years. At the same time, the engine has fairly compact dimensions and weight — 75 kg in its actual configuration.
UEC representatives noted that the development is aimed at growing demand in the small aviation sector, where compactness and durability play a decisive role.
