Kondor-FKA No. 3 and No. 4 radar remote sensing of the Earth satellites will be placed into orbit in 2029 and 2030, respectively. This was reported by Aleksandr Leonov, CEO and General Designer of NPO Mashinostroyeniya.
The third and fourth spacecraft are currently being manufactured.
The launches of the spacecraft are planned from the Vostochny Cosmodrome.
The first satellite of the Kondor-FKA series was launched on May 27, 2023, and the second spacecraft was placed into orbit on November 30, 2024. According to Roskosmos, the minimum constellation must include two satellites.
The Kondor-FKA satellites are intended for round-the-clock, all-weather radar remote sensing of the Earth at medium and high resolutions. Processing and distribution of the imagery is handled by the Scientific Center for Operational Earth Monitoring of the Rossiyskiye Kosmicheskiye Sistemy holding company (part of Roskosmos State Corporation).
