MegaFon has upgraded telecommunications equipment at the Korobcheevo airfield near Kolomna (Moscow Region), providing speeds of up to 100 Mbps. The expanded frequency spectrum has allowed the signal to travel over considerable distances and remain stable in open areas.
Since the beginning of 2025, mobile traffic at the airfield has grown by almost 30%. Most often, parachutists from Ryazan, Penza, Samara, St. Petersburg, and Saratov come here. The highest traffic volume per subscriber was recorded among guests from Surgut - about 500 MB, which is comparable to the size of a video recording of a parachute jump.
The Aerograd Kolomna club operates at the airfield, founded in the early 2000s on the basis of the M. V. Vodopyanov Kolomna Aeroclub. More than 100,000 jumps are made here every year, and Russian and international competitions are held. In 2012, parachute athletes formed a 207-person formation in the sky - a national achievement that remains unbeaten.
