Over 1,000 Base Stations to be Launched in the DPR in 2026

Mobile Coverage Already Exceeds 90% of the Republic

In the Donetsk People's Republic, the main focus in the coming years will be on improving the quality of mobile communications in remote settlements and increasing Internet bandwidth. This was reported to TASS by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic, Vladimir Yezhikov.

According to him, the network development plans previously undertaken by operators are being implemented, and work continues. The main task now is to bring mobile communications to sparsely populated areas, providing normal coverage to every village.

The republican telecom operator plans to launch more than 1,000 new base stations in 2026. Increasing the infrastructure will relieve overloaded stations and improve the quality of voice communications. Yezhikov emphasized that the modern world requires an increase in mobile Internet bandwidth, and operators are focusing on this.

As of January 3, 2026, mobile coverage in the DPR exceeded 90% of the republic's territory. The network is being developed by three mobile operators, who have already launched about 9,000 base stations.
