Hydrogen Train Carriages of the Future Pass Tests

Car bodies meet all regulatory requirements

Tver Carriage Works sent four car bodies of head cars (models 62-4585 and 62-4586), as well as two sets of elements for the booster section (model 62-4587) of the new hydrogen train (model 62-4584) to Demikhovsky Machine-Building Plant. This was reported in the press service of the enterprise.

The reliability of the car body structure was tested during the tests. Specialists subjected the car body of the hydrogen train to loads, simulating the longitudinal forces created by passengers.

In addition to modeling loads, our task is to subsequently analyze the results for each studied zone obtained by the strain gauge method.
Alexander Smirnov, leading engineer of TIV

To control the condition of the structure, more than 250 strain gauges were installed (devices in the form of a zigzag conductor on a flexible substrate, the resistance of which changes depending on its deformation), which exceeds standard parameters. This made it possible to more accurately assess the stresses on the car body, in particular, in areas subject to the greatest loads.

Tests have shown that the car bodies meet all regulatory requirements. Tests of the car body of the intermediate car of the hydrogen train (model 62-4588) are currently ongoing.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the serial production of hydrogen trains will be налажен in 2027.
