Special attention is paid to creating comfortable conditions for passengers in the electric train. Ergonomic seats are provided inside the cars. The train also has tinted double-glazed windows and two LCD information boards, an air conditioning system with an air disinfection function, access to Wi-Fi and USB connectors for quick charging of mobile devices. A well-thought-out luggage storage system has been organized, places for outerwear and for transporting bicycles, and modern toilet rooms are equipped.

The EP2DM has created a barrier-free environment for people with disabilities. The head cars are equipped with special lifts or folding ramps for entering the car in a wheelchair, enlarged toilet rooms, and information signs are duplicated in Braille.

DMZ began serial production of EP2DM in 2023. The train has been awarded industry awards, it became a laureate of the National Priority Award and the annual Russian Railways competition for the best quality of rolling stock and complex technical systems.

Earlier www1.ru reported that TVZ manufactured the 1000th car of the Ivolga electric train.
