Uralvagonzavod delivered a new batch of IMR-3M engineering tanks with electronic warfare systems and drone protection to the troops

Vehicles based on the T-90 provide crew protection in conditions of chemical, biological and radiation contamination

On the eve of the Day of the Engineering Troops of the Russian Federation, the Uralvagonzavod concern (part of the Rostec State Corporation) handed over another batch of IMR-3M obstacle clearing engineering vehicles to the Ministry of Defense. According to reports, the equipment is additionally equipped with electronic warfare (EW) systems and elements of protection against drone strikes.

In combat conditions, IMR-3M play a key role in breaking through enemy engineering barriers, ensuring passability for subsequent units.

The IMR-3M obstacle clearing engineering vehicle is based on the T-90 tank and is designed to perform a wide range of tasks: from clearing debris and uprooting stumps to creating passages in minefields and filling trenches. The vehicle is capable of operating effectively in the most difficult landscape conditions — whether it is windbreak, rocky ridges or deep snow cover.

Among the main equipment of the IMR-3M is a universal bulldozer blade with a hydraulic drive, a track mine trawl with an electromagnetic attachment, as well as a multifunctional telescopic boom. The latter can be used as a manipulator, grapple, bucket with a straight and backhoe or a scarifier, which significantly expands the functionality of the equipment.

Special attention is paid to the protection of the crew: the sealed hull allows you to perform tasks in conditions of radioactive, chemical and biological contamination, as well as at high concentrations of aggressive gases, dust or smoke — without the use of additional personal protective equipment.
