Russian automotive giant filed a lawsuit against Boeing and Airbus's main supplier

GAZ demanded nearly 500 thousand euros from Switzerland's Starrag GmbH

PAO "Gorky Automobile Plant" (GAZ) filed a lawsuit against the foreign company Starrag GmbH. The case was registered in the electronic case file system of the Arbitration Court of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

The total amount of PAO "GAZ"'s claims against the foreign manufacturer exceeds 493,000 euros (about 44.7 million rubles). The essence of the claim is still unknown, but the first hearing in the case has been scheduled for October 20, 2026.

Starrag GmbH develops, manufactures, and sells precision machine tools for processing metal workpieces. These products are then used in the aerospace industry and the transport sector.

The head office is located in Switzerland. Starrag is one of the key technology partners for Airbus and Boeing. In the aerospace industry, the company is considered the "supplier of first choice" for manufacturing the most complex and critical aircraft components.

GAZ is the largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles in Russia, producing a wide range of light and medium-duty vehicles, buses, and special-purpose equipment.
