Certification of MC-21 and Superjet according to Russian and international standards allows to intensify their promotion to foreign markets. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov.
He pointed out the absolute competitiveness and serious commercial potential of Russian civil aircraft.
Today, the MC-21 and SJ-100 aircraft are at the stage of certification tests. Certification according to Russian and international standards, as well as the start of operation, will, in turn, intensify the promotion of aircraft to foreign markets.
The head of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, noted that the MC-21 may complete certification by the end of 2026, and the SJ-100 - already in the first half of the year. However, when exactly domestic carriers will receive the liners is unknown.
According to Alikhanov, the Ministry of Industry and Trade is looking for opportunities to reduce the cost of MC-21 and SJ-100 by attracting new suppliers.
