Laptops will become more expensive in Russia in 2026, while buyers will be offered weak and stripped-down configurations. This opinion was expressed by the head of the "Rostelecom" agency, Yuri Bryukvin.
In the baseline scenario, more sales are expected in the budget and mid-price segments, and demand for expensive laptop models will decrease. In addition, Bryukvin is sure that the gap between the cost of a "medium" and a "normal" laptop in terms of parameters will significantly increase.
Repairs and upgrades are almost certain to grow, as this is the most affordable way to "revive the hardware" without buying a new device.
Demand for honest service - replacement of spare parts with a guarantee - will also grow in Russia. That is, in the end, workshops and retail chains that provide service for the equipment being sold will win, Bryukvin concluded.
