The Moscow Metro is getting more and more stations every year. It is one of the largest and most technologically advanced subways in the world. This was reported in the press service of the Moscow Department of Transport.
Currently, the metro includes 275 stations and more than 500 km of lines. A large staff of technical specialists monitors transport security.
In 2026, the following were replaced in the Moscow Metro:
- 48.5 km of tracks
- 71 sets of switch points
- 14.6 thousand sleepers
- almost 64 km of cable lines
The head of the Moscow Department of Transport, Maxim Liksutov, said that over the past year, workers have carried out a large-scale update of key elements. Thanks to this, the metro remains the most modern and convenient transport.
