The Federal Customs Service seized about 4,800 units of illegally imported electronics, including smartphones, tablets, laptops and game consoles, at the Gorbushkin Dvor shopping center in Moscow, it was reported on September 12.
Similar checks were carried out in the warehouses of major marketplaces and two logistics companies. More than 7,500 power tools and 230,000 units of auto parts, household appliances and gadgets with a total value of 3.8 billion rubles were seized there.
In the first eight months of 2025, customs and law enforcement agencies initiated 210 criminal cases related to illegal trafficking of goods, including understating customs value and providing false information about product classification.
