The press service of Rosaviatsiya warned that information from some media outlets about flight delays, compiled on the basis of airport online scoreboards, misleads passengers.
The agency noted that such data does not reflect the real functioning of the air transport system and the complexity of the production process. Flights may be delayed, canceled, or rescheduled for various reasons, including enhanced measures for processing aircraft and runways, combining flights, and other production and technical factors.
Rosaviatsiya emphasized that calculating delays and manipulating figures on online scoreboards does not provide an accurate picture of the operational situation at airports.
Airports in the Moscow region have been continuously providing stable service to flights and passengers for two days despite the abnormal snowfall.
