According to preliminary data from Rosaviatsiya, Russian airlines carried approximately 108.5 million passengers in 2025, which is 2.7% less than the 2024 figure (111.6 million people). This was announced by the head of the agency, Dmitry Yadrov, during a working trip to Domodedovo Airport.
According to the information provided, domestic transportation amounted to 81.2 million passengers, while international routes served 27.4 million people. Thus, the share of domestic flights in the total passenger traffic exceeded 74%.
Earlier, in December 2025, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation adjusted its forecast for annual passenger traffic downwards — from 109.7 million to 107.5 million people. The actual results were slightly higher than the revised forecast, but still fell short of the previous year's results.
