Russian operators of Boomerang fiber optic FPV drones have learned to drop anti-car spikes on the road to stop enemy vehicle traffic. This was stated by an informed TASS source in the Russian defense industry.

According to him, a special drop system for installing anti-car spikes has been developed for the "Boomerang".

These drones are sent to places where equipment cannot reach without the risk of being fired upon.

FPV drones also deliver provisions and water, batteries, radios and ammunition to soldiers, and intercept enemy drones. "Boomerangs" are capable of mining approaches to positions with PTM-1 anti-tank mines and fragmentation ammunition to defeat manpower.

The source added that the UAV is equipped with a thermal imaging camera that helps track down heavy enemy strike drones and conduct reconnaissance, as well as conduct operational shooting at night.
