Russian manufacturers of basic generating equipment can cover the entire existing demand for such equipment. Since 2014, production volumes in the industry have quadrupled, said First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.
Today, the production capacity of domestic enterprises for high-power turbines is eight units per year, and by 2030 they will increase to 14.
The dynamics are also positive for steam turbines, generators and industrial boilers, Manturov added.
The balance of supply and demand until 2030, the approximate market need until 2036 and 2042 have been approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Energy of Russia. The need for steam and gas turbines for this period is fully provided by the existing production capacities of domestic factories, and part of the capacity for the production of generators is currently underutilized.
Manturov noted that it is planned to invest from 50 to 100 billion rubles in the development of the industry in the coming years.
