From "Geraniums" to Cavalry: Russian Kulibins Installed Starlink Directly on Horses

A metal structure with a communication terminal was welded to the saddle

Russian military personnel have begun installing Starlink satellite internet terminals on horses. Footage of the bizarre union of animals and advanced communication technology has appeared online.

The video shows that a metal structure has been welded to the horse's saddle, into which a terminal has been inserted. A voiceover in one of the videos stated that the connection was working.

The communication system does not interfere with the soldier while riding, but provides a stable connection. In addition to the satellite terminal, the equipment includes a Wi-Fi router powered by a battery.

Judging by the subtitles in English, the experience of Russian craftsmen is being closely studied in the West.

At the end of December 2025, the first photograph of the latest Russian Geran-3 kamikaze dronewith a Starlink satellite communication module appeared online. Since the success of the strike is ensured by the destruction of the drone, it can be concluded that the military does have American terminals.

The development of a domestic Starink analogue is also planned. For this, the company "Bureau 1440" mayrequire 445 billion rubles.
