Nearly 44 billion rubles will be allocated for a new preferential leasing program for civilian vessels

Manturov: The funds will be used to build 50 passenger ships

The parameters of a separate program for updating the dilapidated fleet, including the issue of allocating funds from the National Welfare Fund (NWF), are currently being worked out. This was stated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.

According to him, 43.6 billion rubles will be allocated for a new program of preferential leasing of civilian vessels in the next 3 years.

It is planned that the construction of about 50 ships will be financed through this instrument.

In 2026, 5 billion rubles are provided for the implementation of the current program of leasing civilian water transport vessels of ГТЛК.

Earlier, the relevant ministries were instructed to form a list of vessels requiring replacement. Officials were obliged to prepare proposals for expanding the preferential leasing program, taking this information into account.
