The volume of sales of new passenger cars in Russia this year will remain at the 2025 level and amount to almost 1.3 million units. This was stated by leading domestic auto experts.
Expert Igor Morzharetto said that, together with colleagues from the Avtostat agency, he expects sales at the level of last year. However, an optimistic scenario is not ruled out either.
The market may grow to about 1.45 million. But under a negative scenario, it may decline to 1.2 million cars.
The Rossiiskie Avtomobilnye Dilery association (ROAD) also forecasts stagnation in the market. Analysts believe there will be neither a sharp decline nor significant growth.
The organization named the main factors affecting the situation as the availability of lending, the recycling fee, VAT, as well as Russians' consumer activity.
