The sales volume of new passenger cars in Russia this year will be at the level of 2025 and will amount to almost 1.3 million units. This was stated by leading domestic auto experts.
Expert Igor Morzharetto stated that he and his colleagues from the agency «Автостат» expect sales to be at the level of last year. However, an optimistic scenario is not excluded.
The market may grow to approximately 1.45 million. But in a negative scenario, it may decrease to 1.2 million cars.
The association «Russian Automotive Dealers» (ROAD) also predicts stagnation in the market. Analysts believe that there will be neither a sharp fall nor a significant increase.
The main factors influencing the situation, according to the organization, are the availability of lending, the recycling fee, VAT, as well as the purchasing activity of Russians.
