The head of Rosaviatsiya, Dmitry Yadrov, said that from December 29, 2025, to January 1, 2026, Russian airlines transported over 50,000 children, providing a 50% discount.
More than 50,000 children were transported with this discount.
It is worth recalling that children under two years old are entitled to free travel accompanied by an adult without the need to occupy a separate seat on the plane.
Children from two to 12 years old traveling on domestic routes can take advantage of a 50% discount on air tickets. This measure was introduced at the request of President Vladimir Putin. It has been in effect since January 20, 2025.
