Deputies of the lower house of parliament, led by Vice-Speaker Vladislav Davankov, proposed to implement automatic updating of user documents on the "Gosuslugi" portal. A corresponding letter was sent to the head of the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia, Maksut Shadaev.
Currently, when receiving a Russian passport, a foreign passport, as well as a driver's license, the user has to make changes on the website manually. Then the system requires re-verification.
The procedure can take from 5 to 14 days. Until the data is updated, the citizen cannot receive public services.
The State Duma deputies believe that it is possible to implement automatic data synchronization between various departments and the Unified Identification and Authentication System (ESIA). In this case, the user will not need to participate in the transfer of new information.
