The creation of the Tu-214 medium-range narrow-body passenger aircraft at the Kazan Aviation Plant is the flagship among the projects we are developing. This was stated by the Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, Oleg Korobchenko.
In 2026, three aircraft should be made. There are problems with components and delivery. Everyone is immersed in the topic, from the Rais of the Republic, Rustam Minnikhanov, to ordinary employees.
According to him, the company is now putting into operation a flow line assembly shop. Thanks to this, assembly capacity will increase to 20 aircraft per year. At the same time, the necessary equipment is being purchased.
If earlier the production cycle of the Tu-214 was 3 years, now it is 2 years, Korobchenko added. To ensure this volume, it is necessary to order material, tools, equipment and components - and this work needs to be put on stream, the minister concluded.
